Lofty Pine Argentine Llama Ranch is owned and operated by Deb and Don Yeagle. Deb has been in the livestock industry since 1979 starting with Jacob sheep, hogs and calves. She owned and operated Woodruff Hatchery before she went back to teach art at Port Clinton City Schools where she retired with 30 years of service where she taught art and coached track.
During that time she added Shetland sheep thus purchasing Thunder Heart, aka Free Willy, The llama. Both she and Don got hooked quickly on Llamas as they are beautiful, smart, relational, and fun. Within 6 months they purchased 7 more and started having babies (Crias) and they still have llamas today. 20 Argentine llamas. Deb is an ALSA and ILR judge. She judges both llamas, alpacas, and their fiber. She is an instructor for ALSA, president of her spinning guild, and a member of many llamas and alpaca organizations and still has time for family and grandkids.
The change to Argentine llamas had a purpose. Smaller llamas with sweet personalities and 3 times the fiber. Deb is also a potter, and fiber artist. She has 4 studs that are breeding with different bloodlines so there is a stud service, Llamas for sale, both pet, breeding and show quality. Feel free to call, text, or email with questions or just to chat. For all, we are blessed with we praise the Lord.
